Summary
Daystar Christian Television Network is searching for an experienced U.S.  RF Operations Engineer (Domestic) to work at our Headquarters in Bedford, Texas.  Must be a Christian committed to the Gospel of The Lord Jesus Christ.
 
Serve as a Daystar RF Operations Engineer (Domestic) for Daystar's Engineering Services Division.  Duties include receiving calls, emails, and other forms of correspondence from Daystar viewers and signal distribution partners and providing customer support by aiding them in answering technical questions and other technical needs.
 
This position would start as a first shift office position for training and would move to second shift office position.
 
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a technical assistant to Daystar's Director of RF (Radio Frequency) Engineering
  • Complete technical related tasks which contribute to the overall distribution success of Daystar's                                                                              programming and mission
  • Relevant tasks include assisting and organizing follow up of all Domestic U.S. RF Engineering related assignments and projects
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair of electronic and associated equipment (under supervision)
  • Install, modify, and re-route electronic equipment wiring infrastructure (under supervision)
  • Execute routine preventative maintenance, conduct software updates for electronic and associated equipment
  • Provide field support when necessary (requires physical labor)
  • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
 
Education/Additional Requirements:
  • A high school diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Associate degree in electronics; Bachelor’s degree in electronics preferred
  • Prior U.S. Military service with equivalent electronics education
  • Basic knowledge in the use of electronic test equipment, instruments, and tools.
  • Must possess the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work alone or as a team player
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, and pay close attention to detail
  • Must possess the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional follow through
  • Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain exceptional levels of professionalism
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite other related systems
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record, as some travel may be required for this position.
  • Must be available for on-call work for varying shifts, including weekends, holidays and during inclement weather events
 
 
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to work extended hours during events and/or as assigned.
