About the Role: The Test RF Engineer at
Aviat Networks is directly responsible for preparation of RF test plans. He works in collaboration with wireless signal processing engineers, firmware engineers as well as program managers. In his work, he reports directly to the Virtual Fiber HW team lead and, together
with him, prepares reports for the Director of Engineering.
Responsibilities:• Testing of high-performance RF/Analog circuits for state-of-the-art RF transceiver products such as frequency converters, power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, filters, and synthesizers. These tests are executed on micro and mm-wave transceivers for virtual fiber communication applications.
• System Lineup analysis for radio platforms.
• Follow-up product transition from design to production.
• Verification of the final product and documentation of solutions.
• Transfer of the product from engineering to operations team.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:• Completed bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering with focus on Electronics, Telecommunications or RF design.
• Interest in development of state-of-the art high-frequency circuits.
• Eager to learn new skills and understand RF communication systems.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Experience in RF/Microwave/mm-wave RF Design such as LNA, Mixer, RF VGAs, PA, PLL/VCO, etc on a module level is highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a team environment with multiple groups and locations with clear communication and presentation skills in a dynamic team environment.
• Higher level of writing and verbal communication in English.
