Technician (MT Electrical Engineering)

Job Purpose:

Execute and assist in the coordination of Electrical maintenance related tasks in a safe, efficient and effective way as well as provide supervision to the new team members and contractors to ensure integrity, reliability and safety of the plant by complying to relevant work processes and management system to ensure compliance to company rules, policies, guidelines and statutory requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Review the job package and perform maintenance task and duties safely by understand and comply to HSE policy and procedures.
2. Obtain the work permit and execute maintenance work of all Electrical system/ equipment as per the established work processes to achieve high work quality.
3. Respond to standby/ call out for emergency/ urgent repairs outside working hours as per standby/ call out duty roaster following the establish call out procedure/ guideline.
4. Lead and supervise the major work executed by contractor to ensure smooth execution of work, timely and quality of work according to schedule, procedure and quality plan.
5. Apply necessary skills of respective trade/ craft/ discipline and use established operating disciplines (i.e. maintenance procedure, plan, schedule, forms, check sheets) and provide input or feedback for improvement of existing operating disciplines and assist in the development of new maintenance work procedures as necessary.
6. Provide complete input needed in Job Package for updating the SAP work order closure, status and technical finding data.
7. Act as the Permit Receiving Authority representative (RAR)/ Receiving Authority for work request issuance.
8. Complete the work and return equipment to operations (hand back the equipment to operation safely).
9. Leverage technical trade/ craft/ discipline skills to apprentice and other maintenance associate through available knowledge sharing platform.
10. If significant additional problem are identified during the job that may need a new work order, thoroughly troubleshoot the source/cause and assist in the analysis to ensure the problem is corrected according to the value -added work process.
11. To perform additional task as per company Occupational Skills Standards (POSS).

Qualification/ Experience:

• Relevant certificate and Certificate Of Competency (COC) required to perform the job (e.g. AESP, AGTES, vehicle/ equipment inspector, chargeman). Applicable for shift only.
• Require at least diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3-15 year ’s experience as electrician technician in oil, gas and related industry.
• Fresh graduate diploma holder can consider.
