We’re searching for a Staff Technical Program Manager - HPE Product and Electrical Engineering.
In this role, you will
- Be responsible for planning, coordination and execution support of hardware development while working closely with leadership, design engineering, purchasing, supply-chain and contract manufacturing
- Provide functional engineering support to core engineering teams (electrical, mechanical, optical, etc.) to provide them the structure and priority to meet hardware development milestones
- Lead planning, execution, and day-to-day developments for critical HW designs (including custom computers, SensorPods, vehicle integrations, etc.)
- Define dependencies and resolve conflicts related to hardware maturity, availability, quantity, and allocation of development, evaluate risks and communicate status to upper management and project stakeholders, and engage and energize the project teams to achieve aggressive goals.
- Ensure program documents, design reviews, design change documentation, and risk analyses like FMEA are complete, current and available for key hardware developments
- Manage cross-functional efforts for tactical technology development and risk mitigation to balance schedule milestones, cost, performance, and manufacturability objectives
- Instill an efficient program management mindset by introducing tools or processes that could support: workflows, decision-making, change management, schedule adherence, roles and responsibilities clarification, communication plans, action tracking, budget tracking
- Partner with multiple cross-functions including, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Embedded Software, Digital Signal Processing, Validation & Verification, Reliability, Product Integration, Manufacturing, Hardware Safety Engineering, Program Managers, and Global Supply Management (GSM).
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading product development with cross functional teams
- Experience developing and manufacturing electrical components
- Experience with launching new hardware products to market and managing hardware product life cycles
- Strong technical understanding of hardware design and development process
- Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheets, MS Project, etc.
- Experience with task management tools such as Jira Tools, Confluence, etc.
- Able to be located in Mountain View, CA
- Ability to travel, up to 15%.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with PCBA development and validation
- Experience with managing a product through automotive qualification milestones.
- Experience advancing prototypes to high volume manufacturing
- Experience managing a budget
- Experience using Jira and Confluence
- Experience supporting the development of TPM best practices
- Experience with contract manufacturing
The base [salary OR hourly wage] range for this position is $181,00-$290,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
