We have a need for a Sr. Electrical Engineer to be based in Benicia, CA. This is a full-time position with benefits at Eichleay. Estimated Start Date: January 6, 2025

Compensation:  $170,000 - $230,000 *anticipated annual salary may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications and internal peer equity.  The pay range listed for this position is based on the anticipated base compensation at the time of the posting.

You will attend meetings and participate in client field visits as needed in the Benicia area. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Onsite Monday - Friday
  • Ensure the operational integrity and regulatory compliance of the plant’s electrical systems.
  • Design electrical and control systems for engineering projects.
  • Assist the Engineering Manager in preparing project budgets.
  • Develop project scopes, specifications, and manage RFQs.
  •  Document changes in a MOC system.
  • Oversee contractors, ensuring work quality, on-time completion and compliance with standards.
  • Review vendor’s documentation and quotations.
  • Lead the commissioning of engineering projects.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reliability of power and control systems.
  • Support maintenance teams with troubleshooting of production equipment.
  • Work with the Maintenance Department to implement repairs, improvements and support the plant's operations.
  • Coordinate updates of electrical documentation, drawings, and data with design/drafting team.
  • Review plant electrical practices and standards direct updates to ensure those meet company requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial setting.
  • Hands on experience with electrical distribution systems (480V to 138kV), and substations, transformers and MCC’s.
  • Experience with hazardous area classification assessments and requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.  
  • Overtime may be necessary as workload dictates. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.  
  • Job duties will generally be performed at a Client’s office, client site, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Day to day job direction will typically be lead by our Clients designated project leader. 
  • Conditions and/or schedule will vary at each Client location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.  
  • Candidates will be required to follow our clients' site based rules and protocols regarding infectious diseases.
