Job Description:   

Electrical Engineering position with emphasis in RF design. The scope of the position requires a range of responsibilities spanning the following areas: requirements definition, conceptual trade studies, design and analysis of RF equipment, procurement, as well as integration and testing RF equipment. Electrical Engineers are responsible for participating in engineering analysis/evaluation efforts related to complex RF hardware, documenting design approaches, establishing design verification and validation procedures, and developing plans to manufacture and test RF equipment and major sub-assemblies.

 

Job Qualification Requirements:  

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. A degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical degree at an accredited university is strongly preferred. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Experience in Electrical Engineering.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience designing RF equipment using amplifiers, switches, power dividers, couplers, etc.
  • Experience performing cascade analysis of RF components including gain, noise figure, 1 dB compression point, third order intercept point, second order intercept point, linear and spur free dynamic range
  • Experience using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators to test and characterize RF components and equipment
  • Experience with HFSS or other equivalent circuit and RF structure modeling tools
  • Experience using Mentor Graphics or equivalent schematic capture tool
  • Experience designing micorstrip/stripline power dividers, filters, couplers, etc.
  • Experience designing multi-layer RF printed circuit boards is a bonus
  • Experience designing and measuring antennas is a bonus
  • Experience with FPGA design is a bonus
  • Experience generating cost & schedule plans and estimates is a bonus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with engineering team and management
