The opportunity
As a Simulation Engineer at GEMESYS, you will be working as a part of the Concept & Research team responsible for developing a digital twin of our analog AI technology. You will be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, collaborating with excellent specialists to establish the foundation for new AI solutions in various industries such as healthcare, space, energy and robotics.
Your role
As a Simulation/Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in continuously developing our digital twin of the analog chip architecture based on different simulation models and testing it on our in-house AI models using various programming tools and rapid prototyping frameworks.
  • Rapid prototyping: model and simulate analog electrical circuits using SPICE-based simulation tools and MATLAB/Python ODE solvers.
  • Troubleshoot and debug MATLAB/Python/C++ source codes and SPICE-based simulation models.
  • Collaborate with the hardware team to incorporate abstract features of the chip into the corresponding digital twin.
  • Use methods, especially from digital signal processing, to discretize continuous systems described by a state-space formulation.
  • Apply methods from nonlinear stability theory to investigate the stability properties of the underlying discrete model describing a digital twin of the analog circuit.
  • Aid our project teams in defining goals, milestones, and work packages.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute insights to enhance project outcomes.
What you bring
Essentials:
  • bachelor’s or masters/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • A strong background in circuit theoryknowledge of AI, and basic understanding of numerical integration methods.
  • Experience in modeling and simulating electrical circuits using numerical methods or industry tools such as LTspice.
  • Experience in program scripting in MATLAB/Python.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a team player.
  • Ability to report and present in English.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work in an agile deep-tech start-up.
Preferred:
  • Some experience in writing and understanding C++ code.
  • A rough idea about the Tiny ML approach (Machine Learning with limited resources).
  • Some experience in embedded software development.
