About the Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to all phases of electronics development, from initial concept to product launch. This position offers a unique opportunity to design and develop advanced
FPGA systems using
VHDL, working on high-speed communication, digital signal processing, and synchronization. You will also support the design of
high-speed digital PCBs, write
embedded firmware in C/C++, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to all stages of electronics development from concept to production.
- Design complex FPGA circuits and systems using VHDL for high-speed communication, signal processing, and synchronisation.
- Support the development of high-speed digital PCBs.
- Write and develop firmware in C/C++ for embedded applications.
- Debug and characterise electronic assemblies, including those in camera/LiDAR systems.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and external partners.
- Assist during the ramp-up phase of series production.
Required Qualifications:
- A degree (FH or university) in Electrical Engineering (BSc or MSc).

5+ years of experience with complex VHDL designs, RTL coding, timing analysis and simulation / verification methods
- Senior level of experience with writing and developing embedded C/C++.

Experience with FPGA systems.
- Experience with Linux for embedded systems or similar.
- Familiarity with Matlab or Python.
- Proficient in using GIT, Jira, and scrum/agile methodologies.
- Fluent skills of English is required and ideally skills in German.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with Xilinx FPGAs.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, AXI, SPI, I2C, or similar.
- Experience with analog/RF electronics.
- Exposure to LiDAR, radar, or imaging systems is a plus.
