As a Senior Software Engineer and Component Owner for Embedded Software, you will be the technical lead responsible for development of embedded software components, including concept, specification, implementation, integration, and testing.

Your impact

  • Acting as the Component Owner for electronic control units and software subsystems.
  • Leading small project teams in embedded software development.
  • Ensuring timely, high-quality team output.
  • Coordinating with external development teams.
  • Clarifying technical requirements with product management and other stakeholders.
  • Creating and designing concepts for embedded software components.
  • Implementing, testing, and managing the lifecycle of embedded software components.
  • Conducting code reviews and creating software architecture models.

Who you are

You have strong analytical thinking with the ability to convey complex information effectively. You also bring:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field with several years of relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in embedded systems software development.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, CMake).
  • In-depth knowledge of software development processes and project management methods.
  • Knowledge of Software/system development process models (e.g., ASPICE, CMMI).
  • Experience with agile development methods (e.g., SCRUM).
  • Thorough understanding of embedded operating systems, including Embedded Linux.
  • An advanced level of English is required and an advanced level of German is preferred.
