About the Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll lead the design, development, and maintenance of software that powers our products. You'll focus on ensuring seamless integration between our systems and user interfaces, playing a key role in the evolution of our technology.

Your first mission will be to implement a new portable library that will be the basis for all PhotonFirst applications by:

• Gathering and documenting requirements from the various teams.
• Coordinating the implementation of the new library including a reference example application.
• Building a pipeline that can automate the testing, building, and releasing of this library.
• Document the library including usage examples and troubleshooting tips.
• Leading by example, act as the first point of contact with both internal and external stakeholers.

What We're Looking For:

• You thrive in the fast-paced, dynamic environment of a growing company.
• A passion for high-tech innovation and a curiosity to dive deep into our unique technology.
• A degree in Systems/Software Engineering or Informatics (WO/HBO) with
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience with embedded C, C++, Python, the Qt Framework, and modern build systems.
• Excellent documentation practices, including version control (Git) and DevOps principles.
• Familiarity with library and GUI development for both Linux and Windows environments.
• You're based in the Netherlands and can work (partly) from our office in Alkmaar.

This role is only open to candidates currently residing in the Netherlands who do not require a visa, as relocation support and visa sponsorship are not provided.
