As a Senior Electrical Engineer (Electronics), you will be responsible for projects across the whole product lifecycle. Each new generation brings additional features to architect, evaluate, and implement.  By being hands-on, as well as managing outsourcing partners, you will help ensure our next generation scanners deliver further improvements in worker health and safety, worker guidance, and process optimization.

Job Description

Your day-to-day will consist mainly of these topics:

• Performing feasibility studies on design concepts and new technologies.
• Defining technical requirements, test methodologies, and verification methods in cooperation with the Product Management and Hardware Test Engineering teams.
• Designing schematics and PCBs using Altium Designer, then bringing-up and debugging your designs in the EE lab.
• Managing outsourcing partners from specific work-packages through to whole projects.
• Ensure completeness of your design documentation, adequate prototype and production test coverage, and suitable risk mitigation within projects. 
• Evaluate, test, and implement design changes as part of sustaining activities.

As our ideal candidate for this role, you come with the following skills and competencies:  

• You are a strong communicator who enjoys keeping others informed. 
• You have 6+ years experience of electrical device development. Ideally in miniaturized, battery powered Wi-Fi and Bluetooth based products.  Experience with wearable health monitoring solutions would also be a plus.
• You have a degree in Electrical (Electronics) Engineering or an equivalent field. 
• You are fluent in flex PCB, multi-layer PCB, and HDI design techniques.
• You have strong fundamentals knowledge of Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, design for EMC, and design for test.
• You like to get your hands dirty debugging using oscilloscopes, multimeters, VNAs, and other lab equipment. 
• You have experience working across the product lifecycle, from concept through to production and beyond. 
• You are business fluent in English, German is a plus.
