Lead Electrical Engineer (Leiden, 12-Month Initial Contract)
Responsibilities:
Lead E&I Discipline Role: Takes charge of the E&I discipline on projects, overseeing progress, quality, and team supervision.
Scope of Work: Drafts the scope of work for electrical design following preliminary reviews and client meetings.
Engineering Studies: Conducts engineering studies and schematic design for new systems; analyzes the operation of existing systems.
Code Compliance: Collaborates with code officials and other design professionals when building code interpretations or exceptions are needed.
Specialized Drawings: Creates specialized drawings such as electrical single-line diagrams.
Project Designs: Designs projects independently and provides sketches for drafters to incorporate into drawings.
Research and Documentation: Investigates design options and documents findings for projects.
Quality Assurance: Ensures drawings and designs adhere to company production and design standards.
Client Standards Compliance: Guarantees designs meet client standards.
Interdepartmental Interaction: Collaborates with various departments and disciplines, including Process, HVAC, Piping, EHS, C&Q, and Procurement.
Skills & Experience Preferences:
Relevant Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant electrical experience in an engineering consultancy, including low voltage systems.
Qualification: Appropriate qualification in Electrical Engineering.
System Design Knowledge: General knowledge of electrical system design and applicable codes.
Computer Skills: Advanced MS Office skills.
Language Proficiency: Dutch/English bilingual ability required.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
