Continued growth means we are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Operations team as the technical lead for all internal electrical development and manufacturing.

Essential Functions
• Technical lead for all manufacturing processes related to electronic components, cables, and PCBAs
• Develop new and maintain existing manufacturing processes and test procedures for all electrical components and assemblies
• Collaborate with the Product team during new product development to ensure designs incorporate best practices for all electronic components
• Collaborate with Quality Control to identify and conduct root cause analysis on any non-conformities
• Develop robust electrical qualification and testing for new products, including liaison with 3rd parties for compliance testing
• Drive best practices for the electrical design of our best-in-class, rugged, shielded USB cables
• Produce and validate relevant technical documentation
• Review and approve component and vendor selection
• Work independently and hands on, both individually and as a team

Basic Qualifications
• BS in engineering with 10 years experience minimum, MS in engineering with 7 years experience minimum, or PHD in engineering with 5 years experience minimum
• Broad technical expertise and working knowledge of power/data cables including USB design/performance guidelines/standards
• Possess the ability to self prioritize/escalate as needed
• Competence and experience in hardware as well as software/firmware
• A demonstrated history of accountability and performance delivery to meet or exceed objectives
• Must be a US citizen or US permanent resident

Preferred Qualifications
• Familiar with Mil-Spec connectors/cable standards
• Thorough understanding of USB Specifications (2.0, 3.0, 3.2), especially USB C and Power Delivery is strongly preferred
• Familiar with wireless charging
• Familiar with Cirris style wire harness testing
• Familiar with dielectric withstand (Hi-Pot)/insulation resistance testing
• Experience with MIL-STD-461 (especially RS101 and RE103) and designing electro-mechanical products for high EMI environments is strongly preferred
• Competence with hand and shop tools and the ability to prototype breadboards, troubleshoot PCBAs and perform repairs
• Self-motivated and able to work under limited supervision
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
