In Tunnel and Underground Infrastructure, you will become part of COWI's mechanical, electrical and fire safety section. We are experienced in many types of mechanical, electrical and fire safety systems within tunnels, bridges and metro stations and we cover the entire lifecycle of a project from idea, concept and design to operation and maintenance.

In this position, you will join our global team of specialists and will be based in our office in Lyngby. We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience in infrastructure projects to join our team, giving you the opportunity to co-create on some of the most prestigious infrastructure projects in Denmark and Scandinavia, with great colleagues from all over the world.


The position will provide you with the opportunity to work on a variety of specialized tasks and will offer you significant opportunities for skill and career development across a range of projects both locally and internationally.


On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:

  • Production of engineering design and detail in accordance with project requirements, applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
  • Preparing design calculations, drawings and 3D model input
  • Perform interface coordination tasks with other disciplines
  • Writing technical reports and specifications
  • Checking of reports, calculations and drawings done by other engineers
  • Developing and implementing design best practices, ensuring design conformance with codes and client requirements

To succeed in this position, we believe that you have good analytical skills, a structured work approach and can develop practical solutions.

 

Furthermore, you should have:

  • A Master’s degree in electrical engineering or similar
  • More than ten years of experience in design of electrical systems within infrastructure
  • The ability to provide technical sound solutions alone and as a discipline lead
  • Comprehensive reporting and communication skills in verbal and written form
  • Experience in electrical calculations with ETAP or equivalent
  • The ability to communicate effectively in a Scandinavian language is an advantage
