Senior Electrical Engineer (12 + Years)

We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and quality-oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Electrical Engineer with 12 or more years of engineering and project management experience. In this role, you will apply engineering and management skills to a variety of diverse and challenging projects. You will get to use your project management experience in engineering projects to plan, organize, direct, market, and supervise project activities.  If you have a desire to work and grow as a team player within a multi-discipline engineering firm, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Perform project management duties for various MEP design projects.
• Prepare design tasks assigned by department manager.
• Perform complete construction documents, including drawings, power system studies, and specifications.
• Perform and supervise the execution of designs, including medium and low voltage AC, DC, single line diagrams, electrical plans, and equipment layout.
• Perform and supervise the execution of both interior and exterior lighting design and calculate footcandle to ensure lighting design meets IESNA requirements.
• Participate in meetings with clients and provide engineering support through design and construction phases including responding to AHJ comments, shop drawing review, and responding to RFI’s.
• Review of deliverables, including QA/QC through design and construction.
• Serve as a technical resource to internal staff.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
• Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
• Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
• PE license in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 12 years experience in electrical design
  • Diverse experience that includes AEC vertical construction, Oil & Gas, medium and high voltage, telecommunications
• Project Management experience, must be able to supervise and manage projects of varying sizes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe/Bluebeam software.
• Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management, supervisory, and people skills.
• Must have experience in supervising, estimating, and negotiating contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AutoCad and REVIT
• Experience with commercial, institutional, and higher education projects
• Experience with ETAP and/or EasyPower programs
• RCDD certification is a plus!
