You will be a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer for the F-35 Systems Integration & Test (SI&T) team within Combat Systems – Architecture, Design, Integration & Test (ADIT). Our team is responsible for performing mission system capability integration and maturation, verification testing, and regression testing for all F-35 modernization efforts.

What You Will Be Doing:

As an RF Engineer for F-35 SI&T, you will be responsible for performing technical test planning and execution, developing expertise in RF systems, and ensuring the successful integration and testing of RF subsystems on 5th Gen Platforms. Your responsibilities will include technical test planning and execution for RF subsystems, including Electronic Warfare (EW), Radar, and RF Countermeasures (RFCM), as well as specialization in the Sensors functional area with a focus on RF subsystems.

Your responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

• Perform technical test planning and execution for RF systems, including test planning, test execution, and test documentation.
• Integrate and test RF systems, including EW, Radar, and RF Countermeasures, on 5th Gen Platforms.
• Develop and maintain expertise in RF sensors and systems for 5th Gen Platforms.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of system defects and anomalies related to RF sensors and other F-35 mission systems.
• Ensure F-35 SI&T follows prescribed engineering processes as well as reviewing those processes for continuous improvements.

Employee will be required to support some 2nd shift and weekend work.

Due to security requirements, this is a 100% onsite role.

You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline (electrical engineering preferred), or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in testing antenna, microwave transmission and/or reception equipment and systems.
• Experience in systems engineering development and integration processes.
• Strong organizational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail.

Desired skills
• Master's degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with integration and test of Sensor-Fusion capabilities (RADAR, EW, EO) for 5th Gen Platforms.
• Experience in antenna design/analysis and signal processing/analysis.
• F-35 Program clearances.
• Familiarity with JIRA and Agile development practices.
• Familiarity with Mission Systems Integration Labs or Virtual Test Labs (MSIL and VTL).
• Familiarity with F-35 TR3 architecture.
• Experience with software test design, software debug, lab integration, and test of RF systems.
• Experience with Linux Operating Systems.
• Experience with software programming in C++, JAVA and/or Python.
• Familiarity with JASPER and associated tools.
• Experience with Open System Architecture and Common Systems.
• Experience with the FATMOPs data analysis tool used by F-35 to support anomaly debug.
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) virtual test venues.
• Systems Engineering Development and Integration experience.
• Systems Integration Lab development experience.
• Familiarity with F-35 SPAR lifecycle and disposition process.
• Demonstrated communication skills, written and oral with senior level management and internal/external customers.
• Experience with developing system requirements, software requirements, or hardware requirements for RF systems.

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $97,100 - $171,235. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
