Job Summary:

We are hiring QC Electrical Engineers for a shipping yard project in Singapore. This role requires candidates with strong expertise in quality control, testing, and inspection of electrical systems and components used in marine/shipyard electrical installations. The ideal candidate should have experience in ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. U-Turn candidates (those with prior work experience in Singapore and returning on a new visa) are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Inspection: Conduct inspections, testing, and verification of electrical installations, wiring, and components
Compliance Assurance: Ensure all electrical work adheres to safety regulations, industry standards (IEC, NEC), and project requirements
Testing & Verification: Perform continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, and high-voltage tests on electrical systems
Defect Identification & Resolution: Detect defects, non-conformities, and deviations in electrical installations and recommend corrective actions
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed QC reports, inspection logs, and test results
Work Coordination: Collaborate with electrical engineers, supervisors, and technicians to ensure quality standards are met
Material Quality Check: Inspect electrical cables, panels, transformers, and switchboards before installation
Safety Audits: Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with WSH (Workplace Safety and Health) and MOM (Ministry of Manpower) regulations
Process Improvement: Provide feedback to improve installation procedures and quality control measures
Technical Support: Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults and inconsistencies


Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Experience: Minimum 2+ years in electrical QC inspection, preferably in a shipyard/marine industry
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical drawings, wiring layouts, circuit diagrams, and compliance standards
Testing Equipment Expertise: Proficient in using multimeters, insulation testers, high-voltage testers, and other QC tools
Certification: Familiarity with shipyard safety regulations (WSH, MOM guidelines) and electrical QC standards
Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret technical reports and troubleshoot quality issues
Physical Fitness: Able to work in challenging environments, at heights, and confined spaces
U-Turn Candidates Preferred: Prior work experience in Singapore shipyards is an advantage
