About the Role



BMA Engineering are having multiple roles for Principal Electrical Engineering and you will be responsible for managing onsite Electrical Engineering activities by providing specialist technical expertise to all sites of BMA.



In this role, you will be providing specialist advice and executing tasks associated with ensuring a robust change control and document management process exists and is followed in the operation. You will accurately manage the operation’s blueprint; change management process and Asset integrity. As well as ensuring Electrical compliance to Australian Standards and BMA standards, and any other legislative requirements.



The roles can be based at Brisbane or Mackay working Monday to Friday. Frequent site travel may require for the role specifically for Principal EEM.



In this role you will:

 



  • Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader.

  • Build effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams, seeking to understand our customer’s needs and managing to their expectations.

  • Provide Electrical guidance and technical support to Engineering, Project Managers and Maintenance.

  • Review, update and approve the Electrical technical documentation.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement of Electrical Assets in collaboration with site and external parties.

  • Provide specialist engineering expertise and ensure robust change control processes and documentation standards are followed.

  • Provides engineering subject matter expertise with respect to technical discipline(s) for the operation to multiple groups; and

  • Provide engineering technical services to the operation to ensure relevant standards are met and align to designed/agreed operating principles

About You

You will have:

 



  • Tertiary degree in Electrical Engineering. RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer QLD) qualification is highly advantageous.

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written along with your ability to influence stakeholders, providing sufficient communications to gain agreement and commitment.

  • Proven background working in complex environments to achieve results at an operations level.

  • Required for some roles only: An EEM qualification/ competency

  • Required for some roles only: Understanding of engineering principles, standards and processes, along with drawing management and document control databases.

  • Required for some roles only: Knowledge Dragline & Shovels would be highly regarding for one of the available positions.

  • Required for some roles only: An EEM qualification/ competency  underpinned by an understanding of engineering principles, standards and processes, along with drawing management and document control databases.
