ENERCON’s Data Center Mission Critical group excels in delivering client-centric engineering design services that prioritize partnerships, accountability, and exceptional solutions. Specializing in enterprise, co-location and hyper-scale design, our talented professional engineers provide flexible, scalable solutions that enhance energy efficiency and operational reliability in mission-critical facilities and data centers. Our comprehensive offerings include pre- and post-construction design engineering, site evaluations, and infrastructure optimization to reduce operational expenses and maximize capital efficiency. We ensure transparent collaboration through all project phases, from assessment and planning to execution, maintaining a solid focus on cohesion, accuracy, and adherence to schedule and budget. Our expertise spans electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil engineering, commissioning, acceptance testing, and construction management, making us the client engineer of choice for data center design services.

What will be expected of our new graduates?

As a new graduate at ENERCON, you will be expected to actively engage in various tasks and responsibilities crucial to the success of our projects. You will be tasked with learning and applying codes and standards for designing projects, being organized and efficient, having a positive attitude towards learning and feedback, collaborating with senior engineers for field data collection, and adapting to new software systems. It's important to ask questions, use available resources, and connect classroom knowledge with practical industry work. Meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously are critical aspects of your role.

What are skills that would be helpful to your success as a new graduate? 

  • Graduated or graduating with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET- accredited school in one of our listed preferred majors. 
  • Available to start between May 2025 and July 2025. 
  • Preferred grad date between April 2025 and June 2025.
  • Preferred Courses: Circuit Analysis (could be called Circuits I, Circuits II, Intro to Circuits, etc.), Power Systems (could be called Electric Power, Electric Machines, Power Systems, Power Engineering, etc.), and Control Systems. 
  • A solid working foundation with your major’s core concepts. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite. 
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams. 
  • Ability to effectively problem solve. 
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
  • Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
  • Must be able to work outside.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.

 Interview and Employment Requirements: 

  • Completion of pre interview assessments.
  • College transcript submitted for anyone under 1 year of experience post-graduation. 
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
