For our E&I team, we are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer with a passion for industrial engineering and design.


 


Projects from A-Z, this is how we do it!


At Contec we realize projects from A to Z. As an Electrical Engineer you will be involved in our current projects. You are responsible for the following matters, among others:



  • Designing of schematics, cabinet layouts and component selection in accordance with customer specifications and legal requirements;

  • Supervision of projects according to the agreed scope and planning;

  • Assistance during factory acceptance tests (FAT), field testing, commissioning & start-ups;

  • Compiling the required documentation needed to meet project milestones;

  • Liaising with the project team and clients to complete the project as required.

  • You attend follow-up meetings with the client. You ensure that you are always well prepared for these and report afterwards so that internal and external parties are constantly informed of the project progress.


 


You always do all this in close collaboration with your project coordinator and your team.

  • You’ve recently obtained a bachelor’s/master’s degree in industrial engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanics, or you are equivalent through experience;

  • Can work both autonomously and as part of a team;

  • Proactive and logical approach to problem-solving;

  • You have a drivers license;

  • You speak and write English fluently;

  • Have an adventurous spirit; you enjoy learning new things and love exploring the world together. For your colleagues, travelling is a fun and educational experience, so we hope you'll get excited about it too.

  • Knowledge of the following is beneficial:

    • Cable calculations

    • Selection of electrical components

    • Knowledge of legal standards and guidelines such as AREI, EN60204.1, etc.

    • Eplan P8

    • Instrumentation & measurement and control technology

    • General business automation

    • MS Office, preferably including MS Access
