General Context
Key words: Artificial intelligence, power system, power electronics
All economic domains should be impacted by artificial intelligence (AI) development. In the domain of power systems, ENTSO-E added AI-based technologies to its roadmap for research, development and innovation for 2024-2034. This internship project, initiated by SuperGrid Institute’s technical management, is part of the process of deployment in the institute. The goal is to assess, through a proof of concept, how an AI-based approach can address a problem in the field of power system planning or operation or in power electronics.
Missions
Understanding the problem to solve: its modelling, the related physical constraints, its formulation
Revue of possible techniques and available tools to address the problem
Implementation of the proof of concept
Critical analysis of results, comparison with state of the art
Final report write-up and final presentation preparation
Candidate Profile
Engineer from general engineering school or specialized in mathematics and informatics with knowledge in electrical engineering.
Knowledge on optimization methods
Knowledge in electrical engineering
Matlab and/or Python
A previous experience with an AI-based tool would be appreciated.
