Position Summary
The Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College invites applications for a Half-time position in Electrical Engineering, to begin in August of 2024. The duties in this role include: Teach 4 classes in an academic year or an equivalent to 16 credit hours. Teach teach a variety of courses in Electrical Engineering. Be available to mentor students outside of class (during office hours). Stay current in the electrical engineering field. Basic qualifications are required at the time of application: Applicants must have a masterβs degree. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and be willing to teach a variety of courses in Electrical Engineering. Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship. Preferred qualifications (not required qualifications for the position): A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or closely related field is preferred. ABD or Masterβs-qualified candidates with higher-education teaching experience will be considered. Experience working with diverse student populations and communities is highly desirable.
