As an Electrical Engineer with DES, you will be given the opportunity to develop professional skills while putting your education and training into practice. With the support of our team of engineers and technicians, you will have access to mentors at all levels.
Key responsibilities include the design, development, building, and testing of electronic systems. This role will report to the Program Manager and support the execution of projects to include documentation development and risk mitigation. The Electrical Engineer supports both internal project teams as well as external customer relations and vendor management. The Electrical Engineer is committed to act as a brand representative of Defense Engineering Services and portray our values of technical excellence, integrity, teamwork (rugby team mentality), efficiency, service, and community. They recognize and use our mission and higher purpose as a guide in every decision made on behalf of the organization.
Qualified applicants will possess three to six (3-6) years of experience in relevant technical field including systems and equipment support, and testing and evaluation support of C5ISR requirements and one (1) year of technical experience in support of task specific projects. They will also possess experience in electro-mechanical products, developing schematics, interconnect diagrams, and/or cabling and wire diagrams. Experience working in ECAD and MCAD software systems including PADS, Altium, PLECS, Creo/Pro-E, SolidWorks and similar programming is required.
