We seek an Embedded Software Engineer who will be working onsite in Columbus Indiana.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop vehicle management software including control, sensing, and safety algorithms
  • Debug and Test embedded systems using tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes and multimeters
  • Study product requirements and create functional requirements for embedded system design
  • Conduct feasibility studies for requested features before confirming functional requirements
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including design, test, and test result documents
  • Investigate and resolve reported issues with device firmware.
  • Update and resolve MISRA related issues

Requirements

  • Requires BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with experience in firmware design, or related field of study
  • 5 years of experience related to the above duties
  • Embedded C programming experience required
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Good knowledge of version control systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Development experience on microcontroller platforms, namely Renesas processors, required
  • Experience with vehicle communication protocols such as J1939 or CANOpen preferred
  • CAN Bus tools such as Vector CANAlyzer and others preferred
  • Also preferred are python development (or other scripting language) experience and proficiency with test instrumentation and data acquisition equipment
