Position summary:

As a member of the Production-York department (PR-YK) the Engineering Technician supports various phases of projects ranging from concept generation and initial design all the way through final hardware delivery and volume production. The types of projects vary from product maintenance activities to developing and documenting new test plans and procedures. 

 

Responsibilities Include:


  • Design, modify, program and test electrical panels and systems

  • Write production test procedures for test technicians

  • Specify electrical componentry including panel components, motors and sensors

  • Create and revise electrical schematic details

  • Create and revise 3-D models and drawings of components

  • Design of new test fixtures and procedures

  • Improvements existing electrical test fixtures and procedures

  • Assistance with employee training and cross-training employees for production flexibility

  • Develop and maintain work instructions

  • Work to program schedules and budget


Minimum requirements include:


  • US citizenship or permanent residency strongly preferred due to ITAR requirements.

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology (preferred) or certificate from technical school

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, MRP Systems, and PLC programming languages.

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience supporting production activities in an industrial work environment.
