As Electrical Engineering Manager, you will be a working manager who leads the Electrical Engineering Department in daily activities, assuring completeness of design specifications, on-time delivery, start-up, and final qualification; meeting and exceeding customer’s expectations, as well as achieving profit objectives.


Does this work interest you?



  • Establishes business goals and objectives within the Electrical Engineering Department.

  • Develops and establishes Bartelt electrical engineering standards for design and Bill of Materials on specified product lines; focuses on improving quality, manufacturability and standardization of electrical engineering hardware and software design.

  • Provides documentation for engineering standards; supervises engineers to interface with documentation group on deliverables.

  • Manages electrical engineering requirements for machine projects according to strategic directions; prioritizes projects and queuing of all deliverables according to schedule.

  • Manages daily activities of Electrical Engineers.

  • Coordinates all resources with other managers and departments as business needs demand.

  • Establishes and implements ongoing technical training for Electrical Engineers.

  • Provides technical support on installations, schedules onsite resources, delegates technical support for less strategic projects.

  • Provides billable engineering services to customers.

  • Works with Product Managers and Sales to define project scopes, schedules, and critical paths; provides expertise to establish the appropriate design criteria.

  • Interfaces with project management during build phase to assure excellence in execution and on time delivery.

  • Advises manufacturing and service personnel on proper operation of systems; troubleshoots problems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering application in the packaging industry with 3+ years of management experience. 

  • Mastery of electrical engineering principles in application of high-speed packaging machinery.

  • Experienced in MS Office, ERP knowledge, mastery of engineering design using AutoCAD, or equivalent CADD applications, RSLogix5, 500 & Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View Studio ME. 

  • Demonstrated ability to design equipment with electronic motion control.

  • Knowledge of industrial networks: i.e. Ethernet I/P and Profibus. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
