Are you a bachelor or master student with educational background in electrical engineering, or mechatronics?Are you interested in performing route cause analysis and investigating on solutions that would improve the cable connectivity diagnostics of ASML's DUV machines? Then this internship might be for you!
The DUV Electrical Layout group is responsible for electrical interconnection between modules in DUV systems. The ASML systems require rigorous testing and qualification after system build. Disturbances during test and qualification shall be kept to a minimum to assure on time delivery and system output. ‘Cable misconnects’ and ‘trouble shooting of misconnects’ is often causing disturbances during test and qualification.
Some examples of misconnects:
- Not fully connected cables;
- Wrongly connected cables;
- Cable damage like pushed back pins;
As an intern for the DUV Electrical Layout group, you will improve cable connectivity diagnostics by:
Performing a route cause analysis towards to connectivity problems;
Investigating additional cost-effective solutions to lower connectivity disturbances;
Proposing solutions for improved cable connectivity diagnostics to reduce disturbances during test and qualification.

To be a perfect match for this internship, you:
Have a background in Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics;
Are a bachelor student looking for graduation project (thesis), or a master student looking to gain work experience (apprentice internship);
Have knowledge of Electrical schematics and excel;
Have analytical skills.
Other requirements you need to meet:
You are enrolled at a school for the entire duration of the internship;
You are available for 6-9 months. Please know this internship will take place on-site (not possible to be remote);
You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, please include in your CV/motivation letter willingness to relocate.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
