The Electrical Engineering Co-Op will be responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of test fixtures to support our Electronics assembly and testing processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering student to gain hands-on experience in the field of electronics and contribute to innovative projects.



The Electrical Engineering Co-Op offers a set onsite schedule of 40 hours per week.


Start Date: early January 2025


End Date: end of May 2025



What you will do:



  • Follow detailed schematics and assembly instructions to ensure accurate construction of PCBs.

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot and resolve assembly and test issues.

  • Conduct functional testing of assembled PCBs to ensure they meet design specifications.

  • Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other test equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot circuit problems.

  • Document test results and provide feedback to the engineering team for design improvements.

  • Assist in the creation of detailed test plans, reports and fixtures.

  • Support the development of standard operating procedures for PCB assembly and testing.



Additional Qualifications Include:



  • Major study in Electrical Engineering.

  • Senior or 2nd semester Junior; prior co-op experience strongly preferred.

  • Basic understanding of electronic components, circuits, and PCB design.

  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.

  • Hands-on experience with soldering.
