Program Summary:

Position summary:

The Electrical Engineering co-op will support the Electrical Engineering Department with product development of electronic components for Door Handle, Tailgate Handle, Mirror and other vehicle access products and with the development of tools to support efficient product development and reporting.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Work directly with seasoned engineers to develop software, hardware, or test deliverables to support product development.
  2. Follow documented processes to ensure quality output.
  3. Update key stakeholders on progress toward goals and collaborate on next steps.
  4. Engage with the entire Electrical Engineering Department to take full advantage of the experience offered by the cross-functional team of engineers and increase the effectiveness of any products or tools that result from the co-op project

Other Responsibilities:

  1. Work with Engineers in the development, documentation, testing, and benchmarking activities related to prototypes and new product launch.
  2. Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  1. Majoring in one of the following (or equivalent): Computer Engineering

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. MS Office
  2. Knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages (C, Python)
