Summary

For the "Fighter Radar Functional System Design" department, we are looking for a "System Engineer Fighter Radar (f/m/d)" at the Ulm site as soon as possible.

The "Fighter Radar Functional System Design" department is responsible for the systems engineering support of existing airborne radar systems for flying platforms such as Eurofighter Typhoon, Panavia Tornado, NFH Sea Lion or Airbus A400M. The department also carries out systems engineering for the planning and design of future airborne radar systems, provides technical support for the acquisition of new development projects and manages the technical implementation of these projects.

The tasks of the systems department are characterized by interdisciplinary approaches, close contact with national and international customers and users as well as scientific research institutions and cooperation partners.

Your Tasks

  • Generation of radar system concepts and derivation of the associated system designs with a focus on functional aspects

  • Modeling and simulation of system behavior

  • Estimation of relevant functional system parameters

  • Development of MBSE-based analyses

  • Implementation of the associated requirements engineering

  • Analysis of system behavior based on integration and flight data

  • Creation of system documentation and definition of subsystem components

  • Close cooperation with contributing departments as well as national and international partners and customers

Your Profile

  • Degree in electrical engineering, physics, mathematics or similar

  • Experience in requirements engineering and systems engineering

  • Experience with technical simulation tools such as Matlab or similar

  • Experience with model-based development methods (MBSE)

  • Knowledge of radar system design, signal processing, algorithms

  • Confident handling of MS Office software products

  • Willingness to work in an interdisciplinary manner

  • Independent, goal-oriented and structured way of working

  • Strong teamwork skills and customer orientation, as well as a high level of commitment and motivation

  • Business fluent German and good English skills
