Job Summary:

We are searching for an Electrical Engineer to join our team of professionals. In this role, the successful candidate will be working closely with our project teams to perform site inspections for a project under construction, ensuring that the project is completed in accordance with our design specifications and client needs.

In this role you will:

  • Complete site inspections of electrical systems on projects in construction.
  • Verify construction is proceeding in accordance with design specifications.
  • Prepare Site Visit Reports.
  • Represent the Company at site meetings.
  • Interface with clients, building owners, architects, contractors, consultants, utilities, building authorities and fire authorities.
  • Coordinate necessary information transfer between site and designers.
  • Issue necessary site instructions.
  • Review shop drawings.
  • Provide technical support to resolve problems, clarify issues, and ensure timeliness of project completion.

Skills/abilities:

  • University or college degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology from accredited institution.
  • Progressive experience and knowledge with the inspection of electrical systems for a variety of building facilities.
  • Advanced working knowledge of the provincial building code, ASHRAE, CSA and NFPA standards.
  • Registered with provincial licensing bodies APEGNB and NBCETT is preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in construction project inspection.
  • Advance knowledge with relevant building codes and standards.
  • Strong communication and Interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle.

Location:  Remote in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada

Travel: Travel required to and from sites in Moncton, NB.
