Position Summary: As a Licensed Electrical Engineer, your main responsibility will be for design, development, implementation, and analysis of electrical designs and systems, who independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all aspects of engineering design for projects of moderate to large size and moderate complexity.


This position requires specific experience designing electronics and controls for Secure environments, such as Criminal Justice and Correctional facilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Primary driver of team projects by providing technical development of all designs and deliverables.
  • Relies on experience and judgement for design, development, implementation, and analysis of engineering designs and systems.
  • Produces high quality, accurate, and consistent drawings.
  • Collects and prepares data/information and performs engineering calculations. Develops technical specifications and data sheets.
  • Performs construction administration, drawing review, and response to RFI’s.
  • Assists with preparation of project reports.
  • Conducts field work. Available to travel, as needed, dependent upon specific project assignments. 15% of time reserved for travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science from an ABET accredited college or university.
  • Experience in the field of AEC Engineering.
  • Criminal Justice, Security Design Technology & Controls experience, required.
  • Commercial Lighting, Power, and Fire Alarm Design Experience, a plus.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer, strongly preferred.
  • Revit proficiency, required.
