Overview

Brazos Electric is a transmission and distribution cooperative whose members' service territory extends across 68 counties from the Texas Panhandle to Houston. Organized in 1941, Brazos Electric was the first cooperative formed in the Lone Star state for the purpose of generating and supplying electrical power. Today, Brazos Electric provides wholesale power delivery services for its 16 member-owner distribution cooperatives. Owned by its member cooperatives, the Brazos Electric board of directors is comprised of one representative from each of these 16 members.

Are you an Electrical Engineer with a passion for SCADA and telecommunications? Do you thrive on designing and planning cutting-edge control systems? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

What You’ll Do: 
 Design & Innovate 
  • Prepare and analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine design factors for SCADA and communication projects.
  • Develop and implement system facilities in line with the latest codes and regulations.
Plan & Evolve 
  • Expand your expertise in existing and emerging technologies to enhance SCADA systems and communication equipment.
  • Conduct comprehensive engineering studies and generate detailed reports.
Support & Collaborate 
  • Program, configure, and maintain SCADA systems, ensuring seamless communication with field devices.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot systems, collaborating closely with our communications technicians.
  • Foster relationships with external contractors, consultants, and member cooperative personnel to streamline project activities.
Field Work 
  • Engage in field investigations, inspections, and monitoring to support operational modifications, repairs, or enhancements.
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on communications, electronics, or network disciplines.  Prefer proven technical work experience, demonstrating your expertise and ability to excel in this field.
