Description

Due to expansion, our multi-discipline firm is seeking a Project Engineer for our Electrical Engineering practice. CP Engineers, Architecture & Environmental Services has forty years of experience in site/civil, water/wastewater, municipal, MEP, and environmental services. Our project portfolio includes private, municipal, county, and regional clients; some have been with our firm for three decades.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and controls for various building types and industrial projects.
  • Perform electrical load, cable sizing, and voltage drop calculations; and specify power distribution, grounding, lighting, and control systems and equipment.
  • Create and modify electrical system layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably within an MEP or construction company.
  • EIT certification or willingness to take EIT test, with interest in eventually pursuing PE license.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Familiarity with AutoCAD
    • Understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices.
    • Knowledge of energy-efficient electrical solutions and sustainable practices.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
