Edoxx Technical Services LLC is a US Company based in Houston, Texas, with access to +350 highly experienced and advanced Engineers and Technicians delivering know-how and expertise in Civil, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation engineering. Other related fields such as Projects Control, QA/QC Inspection, 3D Geometrical and Intelligent Modeling, and Drafting are also available.

Our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer to work on-site at their Charleston, WV office. Our ideal candidate will provide electrical, instrument, and controls engineering services, including technical support within the electrical, instrument, and controls engineering team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • May support the business by communicating team resource loading and skill requirements to a direct supervisor.
  • Work to resolve inter-discipline, vendor, and customer issues.
  • Ensure discipline technical work and team activities meet all health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
  • Support adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Uses local/global standards to support technical excellence. 
  • Knowledge off the discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assists the team to meet expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success.
  • Implement innovative solutions, technology advances, and methods to effectively deal with working out of sequence. May support management of project change and progressing for the discipline deliverables.
  • Gather data from multiple sources and prepares engineering studies, analyses, calculations, etc.
  • Create final documentation incorporating all relevant information. May review similar documentation to assist others.
  • Incorporate information from multiple sources into equipment/material specifications, data sheets, testing requirements, and material requisitions. 

Technical and Industry Experience:

  • Typically has 3-10 years of relevant discipline experience. Has an intermediate understanding of regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry practices.
  • Proficiently communicates ideas and concepts, developing the ability to persuade and influence others as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Accredited Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or Process Controls Engineering.
  • Experience working with ETAP and SKM.
  • Experience working with SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) and AVEVA software.
  • An intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Experience working with EPC companies highly preferred.
  • Training in leadership, project execution, risk management, or quality.
