Electrical Engineer IV

RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise.  We are seeking a growth-oriented candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team.  The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes.  This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility in Mossville, IL.  This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 3 days each week in the office.

Electrical Engineer IV

This position will be working on the Electrical/Electronics Legacy Team to keep aging equipment functioning as original components are no longer available.

Job Description

• Design, develop, and test the manufacture of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.

• Evaluate the cost effectiveness, reliability and safety of certain design models.

• Estimate time and cost to complete projects.

• Simulate and test machine/structure/system operation.
• Investigate and test vendor's and competitor's products.
• Communicate with suppliers to determine compatibility. 
• Support APQP activities on purchased components in collaboration with suppliers.
• Document and resolve field issues.
• Provide technical support to clients.
• The majority of the time will be spent in the office with some lab & site visits required.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or technology related degree.
• Experience with standard electronics lab equipment
• Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) tool/process
• Experience with Failure Mode Effect & Root Cause Analysis (FMEA) process
• Experience with Microsoft office suite
• 7+ years experience development experience.
