Hire Resolve is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client's team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and management of electrical systems and equipment within the oil and gas sector. You will collaborate with various specialists to develop, implement, and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain electrical systems and equipment for oil refinery operations.
- Conduct inspections and maintenance of electrical installations.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure reliability of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to oversee electrical installations during new projects and expansions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and safety standards.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to electrical systems and maintenance activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical support as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in the oil and gas or industrial sector.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or ECSA candidate preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design, equipment, and safety standards.
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
