Electrical Engineers are responsible for consultation, investigation, evaluation and planning, design, design review and approval, and/or determination of environmental and safety impacts of work processes and products.


Responsibilities


Engineering and Design (90%)



  • Use engineering software to draft, design, detail, and modify engineering project designs/plans utilizing firm specifications.

  • Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.

  • Review designs for compliance with codes and specifications.

  • Clarify and resolve technical issues.

  • May provide technical assistance with proposals and presentations.

  • May write reports and memorandums and assist with project presentations to clients.

  • May assist the PM, as requested, in the preparation of cost information.

  • Other related duties as assigned.


Administrative (10%)



  • Participate in team meetings, all staff meetings, and other non-billable planning sessions.

  • Participate in training and development activities as needed and directed by supervisor.

  • Perform administrative tasks including, but not limited to, time sheet completion, expense reports, completing correspondence, etc.


Technical Qualifications



  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited university, required

  • PE, required

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering design, required


Physical Qualifications



  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time

  • Physical dexterity and ability to negotiate around a crowded and busy working office area, and around a crowded and busy working area, including construction sites
