NASC GLOBAL, HR Consulting & Management is partnering with a respected client to identify a talented Electrical Engineer for an onsite role based in Davenport, Iowa.
This is a crucial full-time position that requires prompt attention, as the onboarding process is being expedited for the right candidate.
Overview:Β As a vital member of the Plate Finishing Department, you will deliver electrical engineering services that support production, maintenance, and engineering teams. Your work will play a key role in enhancing process efficiency, output, and quality, ensuring that electrical systems integrate safely with manufacturing operations while keeping equipment upgraded and well-maintained.
Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $80,000 to $90,000, depending on your experience, education, certifications, and skills. Additional benefits include relocation assistance and interview travel reimbursement.
Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of assigned electrical engineering projects, from concept to completion, including scope development, specification writing, bid solicitation, design, manufacturing, equipment commissioning, and project closure.
Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including technical staff, maintenance, and production, to solve problems effectively.
Utilize PI Vision and Data Link to analyze process issues and contribute to their resolution.
Develop and implement electrical control solutions that support process improvements and enhance equipment reliability.
Assist production and maintenance teams with equipment and process troubleshooting.
Redesign and upgrade PLC/HMI controls and existing processes.
Install and troubleshoot camera systems on industrial equipment.
Mentor team members to improve their understanding of equipment and processes.
Provide off-hours support as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelorβs degree in Electrical Engineering.
At least one internship, co-op, or relevant work experience in electrical engineering.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, especially with PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC drives and motors, measuring devices, and Ethernet cameras.
Proficiency in Rockwell programming software (e.g., RSLogix, Factory View).
3+ years of experience leading electrical projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Project programs.
Preferred Certifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Certified Automation Professional (CAP).
Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST).
Any relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour).Β
