The electrical engineer is responsible for the design, evaluation, and testing of electrical systems and circuits for robots deployed in retail storefronts, working with related departments to improve product quality, manufacture, install, and address market defects.

Responsibilities

    • Design of electrical systems for robots, power circuits for actuators, control circuits, communication circuits, and circuits for various sensors
    • Create detailed schematics and artwork layout patterns using Altium
    • Coordinate with PCB manufacturers to facilitate the production of high-quality PCB and PCBA.
    • Noise suppression around power supplies for actuators, selection of sensors and circuit design for highly accurate sensing of current values
    • Evaluation, testing, and improvement of electrical systems and circuits designed in-house
    • Working with quality assurance and manufacturing departments, countermeasures against manufacturing and market defects of robots, and quality improvement

Requirements

    • Experience in robotics or similar product development.
    • Ability to design, analyze, and problem solve electrical circuits on your own.
    • Proficiency in Altium or similar CAD tools for schematic design artwork layout patterning.
    • Ability to coordinate with PCB manufacturers and ensure seamless production process.
    • Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other measurement equipment.
    • Knowledgeable enough to engage in technical discussions with mechanical design engineers and firmware engineers (mechanical CAD operation skills and full-scratch software implementation skills are not required).
    • Hands-on experience in transitioning newly developed products from design to manufacturing and the ability to design detailed hardware specifications at a high volume production level.
    • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving, highly goal-oriented environment.

Position Location will be at Telexistence's Headquarters Office (Heiwajima, Tokyo) or another location designated by the company.
