We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Somalia. The ideal candidate will hold a degree
or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field and possess substantial
experience in the electrical department or within a construction company. The
role requires a thorough understanding of electrical systems, tools, and
equipment, such as fuses and wires, coupled with strong leadership,
communication, and interpersonal skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Conduct
site visits prior to project initiation to measure requirements and order
materials.

Collaborate
with colleagues and supervisors to establish timeframes and labour requirements.

Prepare
and write Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for jobs.

Compile
and review site Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) drawings.

Complete
initial electrical site safety reports before job commencement.

Issue
permits as needed and oversee electrical subcontractors.

Assist
with the commissioning phase and issue permits for commissioning
engineers.

Perform
electrical site safety audits and complete all necessary paperwork.

Ensure
compliance with safety practices and electrical safety regulations.

Produce
red line drawings for as-built records upon project completion.

Collect
electriciansβ job sheets, complete van sheets, and ensure authorization.

Ensure
NICEIC certificates are accurately completed and signed off by the
Qualified Supervisor.
Requirements

or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

experience in the electrical department or within a construction company.
