Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Brisbane.

As the successful candidate, you will:  

 

  • be involved in preparing discipline design, studies, calculations and documentation to support feasibility studies
  • carry out detailed engineering for supply and construction
  • provide input into capital estimates and project schedules
  • provide key discipline input to multi-discipline project teams
  • participate in formal engineering review processes
  • provision of on-site construction and commissioning technical support.

 

You will bring to the role:  

 

  • A degree in electrical engineering and up to 10 years’ post grad experience
  • Excellent attitude towards safety and a demonstrated ability to comply with the safety requirements
  • Demonstrated engineering experience in the mining and metals, energy or infrastructure sectors (or similar heavy industries) 
  • Preparation of project specifications, design reports and other technical documentation as required
  • Experience in the investigation, planning and supervision of construction works and/or maintenance activities in operational facilities
  • Have experience in performing electrical studies (e.g. load flow, arc fault, protection grading) including the use of power system modelling packages (i.e. SKM PTW, ETAP and PowerCAD); experience in field instrumentation and industrial control systems would also be advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients on a technical and interpersonal level
