Experience working on concept, feed, detailed engineering of offshore
substation a must have requirement.
ii) Should have experience (independently as a doer or checker) in electrical
power system study software such as ETAP, EDSA
iii) Should have experience in participating various workshops like HAZOP,
SAFOP, HAZID, Risk Evaluation, 3D model review
iv) well familiar with international codes and standards,
materials, specifications, calculations and data sheets.
v) Knowledge of various tools like AVEVA Engineering, AVEVA Electrical will
be an advantage
vi) Good interpersonal skills, liaising with members of other disciplines and
departments.
vii) Strong working knowledge of many design techniques, analysis methods,
and detailed knowledge of the content and application of standards,
codes, and guidelines, including IEC, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and ANSI and
the latest scientific and engineering methods
• Work on onshore substation electrical design including LV, MV and HV side.
• Work on onshore and offshore oil & gas electrical projects
• Sizing of electrical equipment such as generators, motors, transformers,
switch gear / switchboards, VFDs, soft starters, power factor correction,
cables, UPS systems, batteries, lighting, earthing / bonding and lightning
protection systems.
• Review/ preparation of design deliverables such as detailed single line
diagrams, load lists, cable routing and ladder rack diagrams,
interconnection and wiring diagrams, Bill of Materials, Relay Coordination,
Cable sizing calculations, trench layouts, electrical equipment layouts,
lighting layouts, earthing and lightning protection layouts.
• Preparation and thorough understanding of operating philosophies,
specifications and data sheets for various HV and LV electrical equipment.
• Preparation of area classification drawings and selection of electrical
equipment for hazardous areas.
• Responsible for completing the project within the time schedule and allocated
man-hours
• Coordination with client, vendor / contractor, issue and follow up of CSS
questionnaire.
• Preparation and evaluation of project documentation in addition to
engineering deliverables.
• Coordination and follow up of electrical design and engineering interfaces with
other disciplines.
• Responsible for the quality of the deliverables.
• Shall perform the delegated essential functions of lead engineer as and when
required.
• Provide detailed technical support and supervision for Site Acceptance Testing
(SAT) of electrical equipment
