We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Electrical Engineer who will be a key part of our Engineering team. Must reside in the Jacksonville area.

Responsibilities

  • Design and development of various electrical systems and controllers including motors, controllers, switches, relays, wire harnesses, electronic displays, and lighting.
  • Assist in design and documentation of vehicle electrical architecture including service manuals or part books.
  • Develop functional requirements for controller, communication interfaces, diagnostics, and fault detection for vehicles.
  • Hardware/software interface definition, implementation, verification, and documentation
  • Review of existing supplier circuit designs for quality and cost to eliminate potential quality issues and identify potential cost savings.
  • Review and create functional specifications and engineering design standards.
  • Conduct DFMEA and create test and analysis plans for product validation.
  • Perform tolerance studies on components and assemblies and develop engineering component and assembly drawings.
  • Manage component and system-level validation testing and produce testing and certification reports.
  • Define the in-vehicle communication message and signal structure across all forms of physical interfaces and topologies: LIN, CAN, Ethernet.
  • Work with outside suppliers to develop new technologies and/or cost reductions for electrical and electronic systems.
  • Identify new ideas, products and/or features that improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and keep our product lines at the forefront of the industry.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years of design and engineering experience
  • Proficiency in CAD; SolidWorks preferred
  • Experience with CAN-Bus, LIN, and Ethernet communication protocol.
  • Excellent communications skills and careful attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated to work autonomously.
  • Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects/tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, innovative, and dynamic team environment

Plus

  • Experience in vehicle design and manufacturing
  • Fabrication capabilities
  • Product testing and validation experience
  • FEA and stress/strain gauge testing
  • Knowledgeable in the use of GD&T, dimensional tolerance stack-ups, FMEAs
  • Understanding of vehicle certification processes.

      One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to take direction and follow through is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. Must be able to obtain a passport for overseas travel.
