This role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for solar energy projects. The Senior Electrical Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design and engineering efforts for commercial and utility-scale solar projects.
- Develop single-line diagrams, schematics, and system layouts for solar power plants.
- Design and specify key electrical components, including inverters, switchgear, transformers, and other critical equipment.
- Oversee electrical system integration, including grid interconnection processes.
- Conduct electrical load calculations, short circuit analysis, and protection coordination studies.
- Ensure all designs comply with local, national, and international electrical codes and safety standards.
- Perform technical due diligence, design reviews, and risk assessments for new projects.
- Collaborate with procurement and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of electrical equipment and materials.
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning phases of solar projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians in electrical system design and troubleshooting.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables for efficient project execution.
- Assist in project proposals by developing scopes of work, cost estimates, and schedules for electrical engineering activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
- At least 7 years of electrical engineering experience, with a minimum of 4 years in the solar industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE).
- Experience with solar energy systems and technologies, including inverters, batteries, and grid integration.
- Proficiency with electrical design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for designing and troubleshooting complex electrical systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Experience in commissioning and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Commitment to safety and environmental standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in designing electrical systems for large-scale utility solar projects.
- Knowledge of energy storage and microgrid integration.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
