The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems and components, with a focus on power converters, modulators, semiconductors, embedded controls, and solid-state transformers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience with military vehicles, and the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance.

Day to Day Responsibilities

    • Design and Development: Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for military applications, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
    • Power Converters and Modulators: Work on the design and integration of power converters and modulators, optimizing performance and efficiency for various applications.
    • Embedded Controls: Develop and implement embedded control systems for electrical applications, ensuring reliability and functionality.
    • Solid-State Transformers: Contribute to the development and integration of solid-state transformers, focusing on innovation and performance.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure cohesive project execution.
    • Testing and Validation: Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with military standards.
    • Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
    • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues during the design and implementation phases, utilizing strong analytical skills.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Proven experience working with power converters, modulators, semiconductors, embedded controls, and solid-state transformers.
    • Ability to obtain a DOD security clearance.
    • Experience with military vehicles and systems preferred.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Familiarity with relevant engineering software and tools.
