Main Responsibilities:



  • Perform technical tasks assigned by Lead/Senior engineer on onshore or offshore feasibility, conceptual, basic engineering, FEED, detailed design and EPC/ EPCM projects.

  • Ensure the technical quality and accuracy of the work produced and the assigned tasks are completed on time.

  • Interface with other departments, clients, vendors, subcontractors and third parties as per Lead Engineer’s instructions.

  • Participate in inter-disciplines, project, client and vendor meetings when requested by the Lead Engineer.

  • Primary involvement in a typical project includes:




  • Perform electrical system designs for up to 115 kV AIS/ GIS Sub-station; HV & LV power generation and distribution system; lighting and small power system; earthing and lightning protection system; power management and load shedding systems; marine navigation aid system; electric heat tracing system; cathodic protection system etc.

  • Perform site visits (onshore and offshore) for data collection or meeting with client.

  • Perform electrical design calculations for load schedule; cable sizing; lighting; electrical equipment sizing; UPS/ battery sizing; earthing/lightning protection system calculations.

  • Perform power system studies of load flow, short circuit, motor starting, transient stability, harmonic and relay coordination study with Lead/Sr.engineer’s guidance.

  • Prepare single line diagram; control schematic diagram; wiring and block diagram; equipment and cable routing layouts; lighting layouts; earthing schematic diagram, earthing/lightning protection layouts, cable schedule; installation details.

  • Prepare equipment specifications & data sheets and material requisition.

  • Perform vendor offer review & technical bid evaluation, carryout vendor drawings/documents review and vendor data incorporation.

  • Witness shop inspection and factory acceptance test (FAT), as required.

  • Assist in plant erection, commissioning and start-up, as required

  • Provide advice to peers in his field of expertise.



 


About You



  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (Power).

  • Minimum Level I Professional Engineering License (Electrical Power) from the Engineering Council of Thailand (if any).

  • 0-5 years’ experience in electrical engineering design in the Oil & Gas, Refineries, Petrochemical, Chemical and related industries.

  • Experience in electrical engineering design in the Oil & Gas, Refineries, Petrochemical, Chemical and related industries.

  • Self-motivated, good attitude and willing to take responsibility.

  • Conversant with Local and International Codes and Standards and Engineering Practices – API, BS, EIT, IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA.

  • Experience in Power system study using software such as ETAP, SKM, etc. is an advantage.

  • Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL) software experience is an advantage.
