- Plans and directs preventive maintenance program for production machines, material handling and plant machinery.
- Improves the electricians team reactivity by properly training them, improve their equipmentβs and include maintainability concepts from the designing step of the equipmentβs.
- Analyzes and repair specialized equipment heavily dependent upon electronic controls, electromechanical mechanisms and related components, under general condition.
- In charge of general electrical improvement works (Kaizen, projects, SMED, safety/environment etc...)

- Conducts periodic inspection and maintains fire protection system in accordance with underwriterβs code and governmental regulation edicts.
- Analyzes malfunctioning machines and system, recommends corrective actions, and upon approval by Technical-Maintenance & New Projects Manager, makes repairs or modifications.
- Maintains a working understanding of plant production processes, equipment, systems, and facilities in order to perform maintenance effectively, under general condition.
- Works in cooperation with process engineers, production supervisors, and technical or outside of company personnel when directed.
- Responsible for keeping in contact with Power Supply bureau and other authorities.
- When he contracts external staff to support preventive maintenance activities, he's accountable to their safety and proper behavior in the Cie premises as well as ensuring their full adhesion to all the Cie policies (Safety/Environment).
- Responsible for the repair of damaged and worn production machines, material handling equipment and plant machinery as well as of plant facility and grounds.
- In charge of designing & maintaining a proper equipment and location numbering & codification system.
- Keep records of all the repairing and technical modification / evolution per equipment in order to improve the general preventive maintenance plan and to setup a future CMM System (Computerized Maintenance Management).
- In charge of maintaining all main electrical equipmentβs' documentation up to date (both in hard copy and soft copy formats).
- He may be asked to perform other duties if necessary.
Manage spare parts stocks:
- Responsible to maintain the adequate inventory of electrical spare parts (critical & general).
- definition of the stocks (ref, qties, FIFO etc.)
- sourcing the main critical parts in collaboration with Purchasing
- ensures that storekeeper maintains the stock for general electrical spare parts stocks
- Regularly search for new vendors and optimized repairing solutions
Discipline:
- Manages directly the Electricians who can be posted within the Production's shifts or on daytime.
- Leads and animates the team to bring to a successful conclusion all the tasks which are under the responsibility of his department. Coordinates the priorities by organizing into a hierarchy, the specific tasks to realize.
- Delegates, whenever possible, part of his activities. Insures the follow-up of the realization.
- Animates departmental meetings and explains the indicators of performance.
- Fixes targets to his team and gives him the means to achieve them
- Communicates rules and internal procedures and makes sure that they are well understood and applied.
