As we continue to expand our research and development efforts, we are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Huntsville, AL office.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing prototype hardware systems that push the boundaries of technological advancement in RF, wireless communications. Your primary responsibilities will include test design, test equipment design, test execution, data processing, and data analysis. Additionally, your responsibilities will include generating and maintaining design documentation, configuration management, test plans and procedures, test logging, and test reporting.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and prototype hardware systems related to RF, wireless communication, and.
- Design and implement tests and test equipment to validate and characterize developed systems.
- Facilitate and manage procurement and fabrication of designs
- Support system integration, test, and evaluation efforts of designs
- Execute research and development tests to collect data and characterize emerging technologies.
- Adhere to project timelines and quality standards
- Process, organize, and analyze test data using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Generate accurate and comprehensive test reports, documenting results and observations.
- Maintain design documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Implement configuration management practices to ensure accurate version control of designs and prototypes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and best practices related to RF, and wireless communication.
- Develop and participate in briefing materials for prototype stakeholders.
RequirementsMinimum Requirements:
- Bachelorβs of Science (BS) degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited university with a minimum GPA of 3.5
- 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience in design, analysis, and test of electrical components and systems
- Candidate must possess a clear understanding of electrical engineering principles such as but not limited to RF Communications, embedded systems, power regulation and distribution, and control theory
- Candidate must have experience designing, documenting, and testing electronic systems.
- Candidate must have the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
- Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Candidate must have or have the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
- Must be a US Citizen to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance
- Candidate must be located in or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masterβs degree in Electrical, Computer, or other related technical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Top Secret Clearance
- Experience with digital signal processing systems and radio frequency (RF) systems preferred. RF bands include C, X, and K band
- Experience with RF communication technology development, integration, test, and evaluation preferred.
- Experience supporting projects for the Department of Defense
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience with NI LabVIEW.
- Experience with Xilinx FPGAs and SoC.
- Experience with Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) technology development, test, and evaluation.
- Excellent time-management skills
