JOB SUMMARY
The Naval Nuclear Laboratory develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology for the safety and reliability of our NavyοΏ½s submarine and aircraft fleet. Our company is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team as part of the Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) project, which is a multi-site organization engaged in the design, production, testing, and delivery of advanced training simulators.
DUTIES
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience performing electrical drafting
- Collaborate with engineers to create or modify designs and drawings for PPTT equipment
- Review Supplier electrical designs for adherence to technical requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
'- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience as an Electrical Engineer
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
'- Proficiency performing electrical engineering drafting
- Knowledge of drafting standards and techniques
- Experience creating or reviewing electrical engineering designs based on approved technical requirements
- Proficiency with engineering software including SolidWorks, SolidWorks Electrical, and/or AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers, low voltage electrical distribution, audiovisual, or telecommunications systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
